For much of the 20th Century, the comic book industry was dominated by the "big two" - DC Comics and Marvel. However, many smaller independent comics publishers began to make their mark on the industry with new and memorable characters. Eclipse Comics, based in Forestville California, was one of the new kids on the block when they got off the ground in 1977 and found their niche in the artworld of comics. In 1988, a limited series featuring many of their popular characters brought to one place was published under the name of Total Eclipse. In this auction, I have the first three issues of the series - all first printings in NM condition. The books were published in deluxe, graphic novel format, with full color artwork. Marv Wolfman was the writer for the series with Bill Sienkiewicz doing the cover art. Each issue retailed for $3.95 and were valued at $4.00 each by the 2000 Overstreet price guide. Any fan of the comic publisher shouldn't pass up this chance to snatch up a bit of comic book history - issue #3 features the introduction and first appearance of the Black Terror!! Each comic will also come in it's own protective mylar bag.

Contact must be made within 5 days of auction end and payment for this auction must be received within 10 days from the day the auction ends, otherwise negative feedback will be left and a report sent to this server for administrative action. I always try to contact winning bidder within 36 hours after auction ends. I will make all attempts to ship item next day after payment is received (depending on method). I estimate all shipping rates on the USPS web site to save time, and try to keep the cost within $1 of actual cost. I do not charge handling fees or surcharges for fees I am charged on auction or on-line payment sites.
Accepted forms of payment will be check (certified or personal), money order, BidPay, or Pay Pal. Payments must be in US funds only. I must wait at least 10 days for checks to clear before shipping items. All sales are final, no refunds unless I deem appropriate.
