Just about everyone knows G.I. Joe - whether it be the popular large size action figure from a few decades ago to the Hasbro line of action figures and vehicles that were all the rage in the 80"s and inspired a cartoon series and movie. The Hasbro toys were also launched along with a comic book series by Marvel which ran an impressive 12 years and 155 issues, plus specials. In this auction, I have second printings of three issues including two of which featured the origin of the highly popular character of Snake-eyes, and a first run issue. Included are: Issue #2 - Panic at the North Pole! (2ndprinting) in NM condition; Issue #13 - Last Plane From Rio Lindo (1st Printing) in GD condition - has mild staining on front cover, one tear in center of back cover and one tear on the top of an interior page; Issue #26 - Snake-Eyes: The Origin (2nd Printing) in NM condition; Issue #27 - Snake-Eyes The Origin Part II (2nd Printing) in NM condition. The bindings are all nice and tight for each issue, and all but the #13 show only minor age and wear. All stories were written by Larry Hama with Don Perlin, Jack Abel, Jim Novak, Bob Sharen, Mike Vosburg, Jon D"Agostino, Joe Rosen, Steve Leialoha, Rick Parker, Frank Springer, Any Mushynsky, and George Roussos contributing their art talents to the various issues. The 2000 Overstreet price guide lists each of these books with a value of $2.00, so don"t miss your chance to pick these up with a great opening bid price!!
