Following in the tradition of the popular Superman movie franchise, DC Comics and Warner Brothers teamed up in 1989 to bring the second most popular DC superhero to the big screen. Naturally, one could expect an equally enticing comic book adaptation of the Dark Knight's movie adventure. Even more special was the release of two versions of the adaptation - this one in the supersized (68 pages) prestige comic book format in Near Mint (NM) condition. Both versions include the same story and artwork as presented by Dennis O'Neil, Jerry Ordway and Steve Oliff, but presented different cover artwork by Ordway.
This version presents a more graphic novel type cover on front and back, with heavier cardstock cover and paper. The background between art panels throughout the story was done in black to reflect the darker nature of the superhero. The comic originally retailed for $4.95, and the 2000 Overstreet Price Guide lists the NM value at $5.00. The comic will come with a protective mylar bag and cardstock backer.

Accepted forms of payment will be check (certified or personal), money order, BidPay, or Pay Pal. Payments must be in US funds only. Items can only be shipped to the US or Canada, unless otherwise allowed by the bidding form. I must wait at least 10 days for checks to clear before shipping items.
