This item comes from a team-up of galactic proportions as comic giant Marvel and retail giant Target come together to promote “Reading to the Rescue.” A Target-exclusive issue, the 16 page comic highlights the corporation’s sponsorship of National Night Out, which occurred on August 2nd, of this year. NNO is an event where people from all over the country turn on their porch lights and come together to make a stand against drugs and crime. This comic was distributed to Target Associates across the country and also given to 10,000 kids in various NNO markets.
The story, titled “Out of Time!” features an original adventure staring the New Avengers and Fantastic Four, and was written by Todd Dezago. Ron Lim joined the team as penciler, with Scott Koblish doing the inks. Sotocolor and Mike Sellers round out the art team as colorist and letterer, respectively. In addition to the story, a two page crossword puzzle with artwork, and a one page word find are also contained within the covers. Also included on the fold-out back cover are two Target coupons good towards the purchase of Marvel Comic Books. Don’t miss your chance to pick up one of these rare pieces of comic book history and add it to your collection!! The comic is in NM condition, will show only slight wear (if any at all), and will be shipped in a protective poly bag.
