My wife and kids thought I was nuts. This "UFO" came pre-charged, so it only took me a few minutes to get a full charge. With my faithful 7 month old chocolate lab by my side, we ventured out to the back yard. According to my flight plan, it was Friday night (1/9/09), 9:15 pm, 17 degrees f with a slight on and off wind. Up here in New Hampshire, we've recently had a few ice and snow storms. There's about 4" of frozen, compacted ice covered snow on the ground. I can walk on top of the snow without going through it. The dog, cats and wife slide all over the place, comical. I powered up the "UFO" and went full throttle. Rookies. TOTALLY AMAZING. GREAT LIGHT SHOW. This thing took off like a rocket. When the dog got traction, he took off for the house not to be seen from again. In panic, I quickly shut down the throttle. Expecting the worse, I retrieved my "UFO". Surprisingly it was all intact. Nothing broken or cracked. I stayed out back for about 15 minutes trying to determine the length of a single charge. It did fly over the roof of my house and crashed on the other side as it had gone out of range. But with the wind picking up and my audience gone, I decided it was time to warm up. After many crash landings outside (until I got used to it) in the frigid cold and hard ground surface, I was very impressed with the construction and durability of this "UFO". This is great indoors also. It will hoover at any height off of any surface and wont break any valuables. You can do soft touch and go's or throttle up and shoot for the stars. The cats will be amused. This is great for the kids or adults. It will be a head turner at parties. I'm going to keep one for myself, maybe two, as I can't get the original one back from the kids.
