Jo stands about 19" high. She has a beautiful bisque head, with lovely blue paperweight glass eyes. She has a cloth body with bisque from her knees down and from elbows down. Her fancy blue dress feels like silk, but in any case it is a lovely dresden blue with its frilly tiered ruffled skirt and elaborate bodice. Her sleeves are pleated.

Jo wears a wrist tag which explains that the Little Women dolls have hand painted faces with fabric carefully selected for quality and authenticity. There is a sticker on the bottom of Jo"s shoe that says: "From the Gift World of GORHAM, Made in Japan".

The third photo shows the key which is inserted in her back to play "OVER THE RAINBOW". The photos do not show very well the black net Snood that Jo wears on the back of her hair.

Jo has lived in her box in a smoke free home since 1983. She has never been displayed and is MINT.

Her box is in good condition with some wrinkling wear resulting in loss of the red color around the edges.
