This gold washed diamond-shaped button measures 3/4" tall. The face of the button depicts a Scottish thistle in flower. The thistle represents courageous defense and deep rooted ideals. Quoting the House of Names, "The heraldic thistle has a short stalk and two long leaves with the flowered head in the middle. Though it is usually represented proper it can also be found gold." The reverse of the button is signed "Firmin & Sons * London". Very good condition.
