This is a nice tab handle cake plate in pink with gold lacey edge. The plate measures 9 ½ in. wide from handle to handle. condition with no chips or cracks. I believe the double backstamp dates back to the 1930"s or 40"s. Other markings include the hand painted number, S7977 with a 7 beneath it. The gilt decoration is in fine condition and doesn"t show any wear. Upon careful examination, I felt and then saw a sliver type chip near one of the handles. This chip is not noticable and could easily be covered with gold paint, otherwise the plate looks great. It needs to be cleaned up, but I prefer to leave that to a new owner.
