VINTAGE Hard Plastic Twenty-Five Inch WALKER Doll with Vinyl Head. She is marked with an "X" in a circle on the back of her head. This mark stands for Mollye Goldman who designed for Horsman, Effanbee and Ideal. Her main interests were in wardrobe designing although she marketed dolls under her own name. She was well known in the doll world for her excellent design and workmanship This lovely young lady has a neat body with budding breasts and long legs. She has rooted hair, sleep eyes with all her eyelashes intact. She has molded ears. She is in overall good condition with minor flaws which are detailed carefully. Her hair is nice thick saran hair which appears to be all intact and just needs restyling. Her vinyl head is somewhat different in color than her body and a little of her lip color is missing. There is a semicircular line across her forehead which must have occurred during manufacturing. Her stringing is loose and will need to be restrung. There are two discolored areas on her back which appear to be wear marks. There are light wear signs on the back of her arms. Her legs have wear scuffs and some discoloration, especially on the back. There is a manufacturing flaw on the side of one upper leg where a gouge about 1" long and 1/8" wide. The color is all present and it is clear this occurred during the manufacturing process. She is wearing a really Cool Vintage dress with a circular skirt that buttons in the back. I date this dress to the 1940"s. It is in great condition and just needs a light bath and ironing job. She wears vintage white taffeta panties. If you have questions, please email me at msdoll99@msn.com.
