BU 26 Diff Err/Var. Cents $200+VALUE; L@@K - READ!! No Res
This is a very nice group of Brilliant Uncirculated
RED BU
Lincoln Wheat and Memorial error/variety cents which I will identify in no particular order except as they come from the set box. Most of these are also listed individually so if you think you need a better description of a given piece, simply click on "view seller"s other items" and search for the one you are looking for to read a more detailed description or view a better picture of it.
Included in this group are one of each: Golden BU 1998-P VCR#1 Brass Plated Strike with Red comparison cent; 1995-P Extra Metal on Reverse "N" in "UNUM"; 2000-P Normal, Semi-Thick, and Thick Rimmed Planchet 3-Coin "Fat Lincoln" set; 1953-D/D/D RPM #17c with diagnostic obverse die-crack across coat and lapel; 2000-P Clashed Die Obverse/Reverse; 1959-P DDO #4-O-II FS#1c-022.3 BU w/spots; 1965-P Strike Doubled Reverse; 1998-D Severe Obverse/Reverse Striking Clash; 1970-S Rotated-Die/Floating Memorial Roof/Level 7 (not small -medium?- date); 1995-P Strike Doubled Reverse; 1997-D Obverse Mis-aligned Die (MAD); Golden BU 1997-P Brass Plated Planchet Strike MAD Obverse; 1958-P Die-Crack "No VDB"; 2000-P MAD Obverse; Golden BU 1997-P Brass Plated Planchet Strike with red comparison coin; 1997-D GEM/PRISTINE Proof-Like with normal comparison cent; 2000-P weak strike missing inner ear detail; 1953-D Unlisted DDO Doubled-Eye; scarce 1981-D "No VDB" Rotated-Die; 2000-P Combo Error Strike Doubled Reverse/Clashed-Die Obverse slightly MAD; 1958/7-D/D Doubled-Die Reverse (Class I DDR) RPM Overdate combo; 1953-D Nice Die-Broken-Cheek Center CUD; 1958/7-D/D Obverse/Reverse Multiple Error RPM/Repunched Overdate combo; 1958/7-D Normal Overdate MH#1-O-VII BREEN #2225; and not included in our photo the 1958/7-P Normal Overdate MH#1-O-VII BREEN #2223.
Photo provided to give idea of general
condition of these cents, but it doesn"t do justice to any error/variety elements -- unless otherwise mentioned above, coins will grade at least MS-60, but many will grade MS-64 to MS-66 or better. As you can see, there are a whole host of Errors, Varieties, DDO"s, RPM"s, Combo"s, etc. that are included in this lot. If you were to purchase each of these coins individually,
you would have to spend well in excess of $200.00 and there is no guarantee you would find them all or win all the lots.
For those who have requested this type of lot in the past, Thank You for your patience -- here is our second undertaking of such a group!
This would also make an excellent gift for the contemporary coin collector or the Young Numismatist on your list. We have nearly sold out of the first group of large sets of BU error/variety cent coins. You will find only about 4 or 5 are duplication from our first series, with many new entries -- about 22 new ones since this is a slightly larger group. As with the previous lot, this one too is sweet with some mouth-watering gems. Oh, yeah, let"s not forget our two BU "mystery" WHEAT cent errors, which will fit very nicely into any error/variety coin collection. I"d estimate the total value of this lot to be at least $200. All 26 error/variety coins clearly marked in 2X2 holders. Only a few sets left, as many went out over the holidays -- Let"s sell"em to the high bidder!!!
Note that between this set and the 25 Different Error/Variety set that we offer separately, countless hours have been spent over a 30+ year period of time, locating, purchasing, and meticulously searching 350,000+ cents (that"s 70+ Mint counted 5000 coin bags -- each coin viewed under magnification) in order to be able to assemble these fine Brilliant Uncirculated sets for your collecting pleasure. An additional 3-4 hours per set is required to store, assemble, label, holder, photograph, list and process the coins. Also note that several previous buyers of our multi-coin lots are developing an after market by re-selling the individual coins from these sets for very decent profits -- please take this into consideration during bidding, as the sets are obviously worth several times what they sell for, when broken down to the single coins -- Thanks!
