Build this TRI-HULLED BOAT “NUGGET!”

THIS IS OUR TRI-HULL PLAN! This boat is a “Trimaran” as apposed to a “Catamaran” it has three hulls instead of two: One large one in the middle and two smaller ones on either size. This style boat, as the catamaran did, also originated with the Polynesians. Their kings often had Trimarans. It looks like this type of craft destined to alter the appearance of the boating scene. It has proven to be not only fast and safe, but also very inexpensive to build as well. It possesses the ideal sailing characteristics of great stability with light weight. She resists healing over in the wind which makes the wind spell out from the sails and, thus, she is much faster!
The 24-foot Nugget is easy to build, being almost all sheet plywood. It was designed especially for the amateur craftsman and has numerous building shortcuts. There are no critical bends bends, and the construction has been simplified to the point where no lofting is necessary. Even a table of offsets is not required.
Here we have a boat that can sail at a speed of 20 knots (it is also extremely fast in light winds), and seaworthy enough to sail around the world, and can be built very cheap!
The boat is easily trailed, because the side hulls fold in. It can sleep four people on short cruses, and the 14-foot beam she has gives ample deck room for storage. With the board up she only draws 17-inches or so of water. You can run her right up on the beach if you wish. Even though she is “Cheap” to build - SHE LOOKS LIKE A MILLIAN BUCKS AND DRAWS ENVIOUS STAIRS EVERYWHERE SHE GOES!
