This is an extremely rare Waffen SS Mountain branched officer visor hat. The visor is in very good condition and there are little signs of wear on the outside. The visor shows consistent signs of aging and is that of a fine wool and features no moth holes or tears. The chin cord is the officer thick type and is in excellent condition. The inside of the hat is in great shape likewise. The liner is in tact, the stitches are in tact, and it looks pretty good. The manufacturing label is shown along with the stitching on the liner and sweat band. I believe the liner was restitched at some time because I found a couple unused stitch holes. The white on the visor does not react to black light either. The maker label tag is celluloid, hence 100% era original. The hat is around a size 7 or 7 1/4.
