"ERUPTION!" The view captures an easterly vista of the dramatic lava and obsidian flows found within the Newberry National Volcanic Monument Park near East Paulina Lake. We were particularly entranced with the violence and huge scale of the eruption shown to impressive effect by the panoramic technique. Photographed on one of the longest days of the year within an hour of sunset on June 7, 2007. It is a composite image made from over ten separate exposures offering a dramatic panoramic 90x40 degree view not possible with ordinary photographic single exposure technique.
