This 1 3/4" long brooch is a careful representation of a mandolin. The four strings are carefully representedtraveling from the pegs, down the frets, over a bridge, and to the frog. The soundboard is decorated in white and green glass enamel, with hand-painted red roses. Old style c-clasp for closure. The shows a stamping of numbers which may date the brooch to 1895.
