Q - What is Windows Password Reset?
A- Windows Password Reset is very sophisticated software used to remove
a Windows user password in case it is forgotten or unknown. This saves
the time consuming and costly process of reformatting the hard drive
and losing all your valuable data.
Q - Does this really work?
A -
Absolutely! You""re probably thinking, "can it be this easy"? Yes it
can! Microsoft could provide this solution, but they won""t. They will
tell you that you will have to reformat your whole computer (reinstall
Windows and lose your data). This is not true! All you have to do is
use Password Reset and remove your password in simple easy steps.
Q - How many times can I use Password Reset?
A - Password Reset can be used as many times as you need to. Your purchase includes lifetime use and support.
Q - How does the process work?
A - You will create a bootable CD that will remove any user accounts password, allowing you to log back into Windows.
Q - I only have access to a Macintosh computer to create the disc.
A - Mac""s have the option to burn the type of file you need to use.
Even though you will create the disc on a Mac, it will work on your
Windows computer in order to reset your Windows password.
Q - Can I use my computer with the forgotten password to create the boot disc by logging in as Guest?
A - No. Guest mode does not have the privileges that allow you to run the software required to create the boot disc.
Q - What operating systems does this work on?
A - This disc will reset your local passwords on any NT based Windows
operating system including Windows NT, 2000, XP, Vista and 2003 Server.
Please note: If you are resetting Windows Server that is an Active
Directory domain controller, further steps are necessary. We do provide
detailed documentation on this process. Please view the Active Directory Server instructions for more details. This information is provided as a courtesy and does not include support.
Q - Will I be able to access my files when I log in?
A - Yes, under normal circumstances you will have access to all files
on the computer after resetting your password. In the rare case that
you have any files that are encrypted, they will not be accessible
without the original password. By default, files are NOT encrypted, so
this is not likely going to affect you.
Q - Will this reset my administrator password?
A - Yes, it will reset the Administrator password as well as any other user passwords you want to remove.
Q - Will this work on Windows 95, 98 or Millennium?
A - These operating systems have a very easy password fix that doesn""t
require you to use Password Reset. Just delete the .pwl file in your Windows directory.
Q - I""m not very good with computers, do you really think that I can use these discs?
A - Yes! We are available to assist you 7 days a week including
holidays. With a little patience, we have helped many users with very
limited computer skills.
Q - My CD drive won""t boot, what do I do?
A - Most computers are set to automatically check the CD drive for a
boot disc before moving on to the hard drive. In the case that your
computer is not set this way already, you will need to change the boot
priority in your system BIOS. This is not as scary as it sounds and our
instructions give you information on changing this as well.
