The grinder has a wooden box with a painted metal drawer. The coffee beans go in the top; the handle is turned and the ground coffee drops into the metal drawer. The wooden box measures 5-3/4" by 6-5/8" and almost 4-3/4" tall plus the metal works on top.

Years ago the wooden box was spray painted a gold color. This should be removed and the wood cared for. The metal grinding mechanism appears to be in good working order.
