The titles are: 1. "Plain Tales from the Hills" with a Biographical Sketch by Charles Eliot Norton. This volume has the dedication "To the Wittiest Woman in India I dedicate this book".

2."The Light That Failed". This volume has soil to the cover and some stain spots on the first few pages.

3. "Life"s Handicap, Being Stories of Mine Own People".

4. "Under the Deodars, The Phantom Rickshaw, Wee Willie Winkie". This volume has soil to the cover and some soil on the inside front cover.

The books all have gilt on the top page edges. They have neat red cloth cover with an impressed "swastika" symbol and Rudyard Kipling in a circle. The books are in good condition and have had little use but have some soil from long time storage.
