

"YANK" The Army Weekly, British Edition, Nov. 26, 1944. The first photo is a closeup of the Cover which is called "Tracking the Jap"(anese).This publication measures about 13-1/2" by 10" with 23 pages. The cover story is called "Back to the Philippines", "GIs landing on Leyte thought the beaches looked much like others they"d seen. But they knew they were on the way to avenge our greatest military defeat." Another article "The ROYAL MARINES at Walcheren" (Holland). "As it was planned, it should have been a simple operation, but as it turned out it was one of the bloodiest actions for the British since Dieppo". There is a full page beautiful pin-up girl. Also, a photograph of Shirley Temple picture with the plane named for her. There is a SAD SACK cartoon strip and the back cover has cartoons. This magazine is intact and in good except for a piece torn out of the back cover and a smaller piece torn out of the top right corner of the cover.
