The back dustcover flap says that Elizabeth Eliot is the nom de plume of Lady Elizabeth Kinnaird, the daughter of the Earl and Countess of St. Germans.

The book measures about 9-1/4" by 6-1/4" with 282 pages. The book is in good condition with considerable wear to the dustcover.

The back dustcover has a table of American heiresses and what happened, such as: "Anna Gould, her fortune $15,000,000. Man she married: Count Boni de Castellane. How he treated her: Spent her money on other women, abused and struck her".
