Description

"Sketches for the Fireside or ANECDOTES FOR THE FAMILY Containing Over one Thousand Lessons of Truth and Duty for Every Day Life Selected from History and Biography. By a Clergyman. 1867.
"Sold only by duly authorized Traveling Agents". This book must have been sold by traveling salesmen. Brainard & Sampson. H. H. Bancroft & Co.
The book measures about 8-3/4" by 6" with 448 pages. As the photo shows, the cloth cover has major damage to the cloth on the top of the spine. There is considerable wear to the cover. There is spotting on the inside front cover and few of the interior pages have a spot or two.
A cool very old book.
