Really Cool Queen Anne Silver Plate Server that folds in the Upright Position. Made in England. What is the name of this kind of serving piece? Please email me Directly at msdoll99@msn.com.
Recently we visited Orchard House in Massachusetts where an identical server identical was displayed. Louisa May Alcott wrote "Little Women" and many of her other famous books when she lived in Orchard House. When the server is open, there are two tiers. The top plate and the two lower plates. The plates measure about 7-1/8" in diameter. The server stands about 9-5/8" tall. It is about 7-1/2" wide plus the the screws. It is marked multiple times on the inside of the handle "Made in England" and "Queen Anne Silver Plated". The base is gold color, so I assume it is a gold wash. The pierced design on the three plates is lovely. This unique piece is in very good condition. There are just a few small scratches in the metal. It is Unique and Lovely!
