





"The Junior Classics". Volume Six, "Old-Fashioned Tales". Selected and arranged by William Patten. Copyright 1912 and 1918.Published by P. F. Collier & Son, New York. The book is bound with leather and has a section of cloth on the front and back cover. The book measures about 7-7/8" by 5-1/4" with 514 pages. There are several illlustrations; one is from the drawing by Sir John Tenniel. Also illustrations by Beatrice Stevens, T. Leech and Richard Doyle. Stories included are "The Race for the Silver Skate" by Mary Mapes Dodge, "Alice in Wonderland, Down the Rabbit-Hole and The Pool of Tears" by Lewis Carroll. Also included are ten more stories from "Alice in Wonderland". The book has some wear to the cover and a small blob of paint on the lower end of the leather spine. There is some soiling to the inside front and back cover and the interior pages. The inside back cover has a bubble under the paper.
