Description

"Notes on LEAD and COPPER SMELTING" by Hiram w. Hixon. "Late Superintendent of the Blast Furance and Converter Department, Anaconda, Montana".

Published by the The Engineering and Mining Journal, New York and London, 1905.

The book has a neat cloth cover with embossed key design and a neat medallion of the Journal. The book measures about 9-1/4" by 6" with 128 pages which includes an Index and several diagrams and fold-out diagrams of smelting furnaces, etc.

This is a cool book. It is interesting as the basics of smelting have not changed all that much over the years.

The book is in good condition and the binding is loose at the spine and the spine webbing is visible at the inside front and back covers so there is movement of the covers.
