Description

"The History of HENRY ESMOND, Esq., A Colonel in the Service of Her Majesty Queen Anne". "Written by himself and edited by William Makepeace Thackeray.
The book is not dated, but an introduction in the front of the book "To the Right Honorable William Bingham, Lord Ashburton" is signed by W.M. Thackeray, London, October 18, 1852.
Published by A. L. Burt Company, New York. The book has a neat cloth cover and measures about 7-1/2" by 5-1/4" with 449 pages. The top page ends are gilded.
The book is in good condition with a small tear on the top of the title page. The spine netting is visible on the inside front cover. The cover has some light wear and soiling.
