The book has numerous wonderful half-tone illustrations that look like engravings. These illustrations are worthy of being framed. Notice the first illustration titled "The Youth of Abraham Lincoln". The book has a cloth cover and measures about 8-5/8" by 6" with 604 pages. The book has white spots, soiling and discoloration and wear to the cover. The back cover has lots of white spots. The binding is loose and the spine webbing is visible in several places and glue granules can be seen There are small spots on several pages and some light soiling on the inside front cover and on several pages.
