Charming antique book called "The RED FAIRY BOOK". Edited by Andrew Lang. The Mershon Company, New York. There is no date. I date the book to the late 1800"s. Some of the fairy tales are earlier or different versions of well-known fairy tales such as "Snow Drop" instead of Snow White and "Golden Hood", rather than Little Red Riding Hood. The book has a cloth cover with cool graphics. It measures about 6" by 4-1/4" with 367 pages. There are a number of quaint and unusual black and white illustrations. The front cover has separated from the spine and the first few pages are missing, including the frotnispiece. There is considerable wear to the cover and wear on the interior pages.
