Antique Solid Oak Grandpa"s Chair. It is large and heavy and a honey oak color. The wooden back is nicely curved.What is the correct term for this oversized chair? Please email me at msdoll99@msn.com. The chair is massive; it weighs about 20 pounds. It measures 38-1/2" tall to the top of the back of the chair. It is about 20-1/2" wide, measuring at the back of the chair. The arms are massive, about 2-1/4" wide, 1-3/4" thick and they extend out 24-1/2". The depth of the chair is 21-1/2" to arm ends. The chair is in good condition. There are certainly signs of its age; it has its original finish. The woven seat needs repair. The wood in the front of the seat is broken in two.
