"LIFE" Magazine featuring Mary Martin and her Broadway show, "South Pacific". April 18, 1949.This magazine just following World War II has articles reflecting that fact such as "The Lights Go Up in London" (after the blackouts during the War) and "A Memorial to French Resistance Martyrs is Unveiled". The advertisements reflect a very different world than our own and very interesting and quaint. The magazine measures about 14-1/8" by 10-1/2" with 124 pages. The magazine is in good condition with wear to the cover. There is a section missing from page 58 to 71 which according to the Contents is an article "The Van Eyck Altarpiece" and page 71/72 is loose and separate from the binding.
