Included in the article are descriptions of the hunting party, hunting dogs, weapons that were used, tactics of the hunters, tactics of the Bear, carefully described descriptions of the tracking of the Bear, Chase, treeing of the Bear, his escape , and ultimately the very exciting kill of the Bear. This is a great article!!! James Gordon,the author does a great job describing the nature of the landscape,a very thick canebrake swampy bayou expanse, and he does an exceptional job recounting the language of the leader of the hunt an old experienced hunter named Asa.
