American Art Colored made in USA White Border Era (1915 –1930), The so-called White Border Era brought an end to the postcard “golden age” era. It ended with the start of the First World War when imports from Germany ceased and U.S. publishers began printing postcards to fill the void. They were poor quality and many were reprinted of earlier Divided Back era cards (1907-1915) which are easily distinguished by the white border around the image.
